There’s almost always something on at Hummingbird Hills Winery in Fultonville — book club nights, basket weaving, wreath making, wine games, flowers for a good cause, and our biggest weekend of the year.

Our very first book club night. Kimm picked the first read — A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman — and we've built a special cocktail and food pairings around the story. Wine, cocktails, beer and food available for purchase. You don't have to be a lifelong book club person; just bring an open mind and a love of a good story.

Kimm and Colleen's very popular class. The cost depends on the basket you choose and covers instruction, all supplies, snacks and your first glass of wine. Many colours and weaving styles to pick from — choose yours at least a week ahead. A $20 non-refundable registration fee holds your seat and is separate from the basket price. Clicking ‘going’ on Facebook does not reserve a spot.

An individual competition — everyone plays for their own score. Earn points through wine trivia, mystery wine, name that tune, cork challenges, the wine pitch and a final survivor challenge. Your $30 covers the first glass of wine, snacks and every game, with prizes for the top finishers.

Bonnie from Cozy Door Creations joins us for our first ever wreath and door swag class. Pick one of four Halloween designs and she'll walk you through it step by step. The price covers all materials and instruction, with light snacks and wine available. A $20 registration fee holds your seat; wreaths must be paid in full two weeks ahead so Bonnie can prep your materials.

An afternoon of flowers and giving back, with Lucas' Army Foundation. Build your own bouquet from JayFlora Designs — no charge to attend, and the bouquet price depends on your flowers and size. Wine sampling is free, and there'll be a 50/50 draw. The foundation supports children battling cancer and their families in memory of Lucas Polsinelli.

An elegant afternoon of handcrafted teas, delectable treats and the view down the valley, hosted by Tea Time Travelers. Add a signature wine cocktail made with Hummingbird Hills wine if you'd like. Seats are intentionally limited to keep it intimate.

Cancellation policy: a lot of work goes into planning these, so registration fees are non-refundable. If you can’t make it and find someone to take your spot, we’ll happily transfer the fee.

Kimm has her very own food trailer — brand new, fully fitted out with a commercial oven, fridge and prep line, and ready to roll.
The plan is to have it out at some events and the occasional Friday night. Nothing is set in stone just yet, so check the events above or follow along on Facebook to see when it’ll be open.
One weekend, two traditions — trail runs across the back acres and a field full of decorated trunks handing out candy to the kids.
Bring the Jeep, bring the car, bring whatever you like to drive. Trails across 200 acres of hill and hedgerow, stock-friendly lines for first-timers, tougher going for anyone who wants it, and the winery open all day when you come back down.
Tailgates come open and the field turns into a candy trail — dinosaurs, witches, skeletons and a Bigfoot who is very good at photos. Costumes strongly encouraged, for grown-ups too.
