There’s almost always something on at Hummingbird Hills Winery in Fultonville — paint parties, cake decorating, murder mysteries, hands-on workshops, s’mores by the fire, and our biggest weekend of the year.
A paint party, cake and trivia, a murder at Castle Drac, witch brooms, barn quilts, s’mores by the fire — and Trunk-or-Treat and the Haunted Lane on the 24th. Most of these fill up, so reserve early.
Janice from Art For Your Soul guides you step by step through your own fall painting to take home — whether you paint all the time or have never picked up a brush. Your $42 covers an 11×14 canvas, all supplies, an apron to wear, snacks and a free glass of wine, wine slushy or non-alcoholic drink.

Heather from Sprinkles & Sparkles Bakery brings everything you need to decorate your own 4″ chocolate salted caramel cake square — and you take home your own set of palette spatulas. In between, Halloween trivia, with prizes for the top trivia masters and the best-dressed spooky tee or sweatshirt. Light refreshments included; wine and wine slushies available to buy.

The Town of Charleston’s first ever Harvest Festival, and we’re helping put it on with the Town of Charleston Youth Group. Hayrides, a pop-up farmers market, a bounce house for the kids, pumpkin painting, make-your-own sundaes, food and music from The Grateful Ramblers — fun for the whole family.

Broom class sold out
Our very first witch broom workshop, with local artisan Keara Battisti of Wicked Whatnots — she handcrafts brooms, witch bells and whimsical creations with a mystical touch. All twelve broom-making seats are taken, but the witch bells station is open to everyone: stop in any time during the event and make your own. No reservation needed, $10 paid when you arrive. Light snacks provided.

It’s 1867 and Count Dracula’s annual Monster Mash Bash is under way — until village medic Dr. Victor Frankenstein turns up floating in an icy tank beneath the castle. Now every guest is a suspect. Twelve brave souls can claim a character: Dracula, the Countess, Frankenstein’s Monster, the Bride, Mr. Hyde, the Wicked Witch, the Wolfman, the Mummy, the Skeleton, the Zombie, the Invisible Man or the Ghost. Costumes encouraged.
Rather watch? Come as a detective, pour a glass, hunt for clues and try to solve it before everyone else. Nobody has to perform Shakespeare. Your $40 covers the mystery and Halloween-themed snacks and is paid before the event; wine and a special Halloween cocktail are available to buy.

Workshop full
Sara from Little Red Farmette walks you through painting your own exterior barn quilt sign — a board primed and pre-drawn with your choice of over 30 patterns, exterior paints in your colours, every material you need, one-on-one guidance and your first drink. A beautiful addition to a home, camp, shed or (of course) a barn.

Check off the fall bucket list in one evening: carve a pumpkin, roast an ooey-gooey s’more around the fire, share a spooky ghost story and sip your favourite local wine. Grab a flannel, bring your friends and slow down for a cozy autumn night. Your $25 includes your pumpkin and carving tools.

Cancellation policy: a lot of work goes into planning these, so registration fees are non-refundable. If you can’t make it and find someone to take your spot, we’ll happily transfer the fee.

Kimm has her very own food trailer — brand new, fully fitted out with a commercial oven, fridge and prep line, and ready to roll.
The plan is to have it out at some events and the occasional Friday night. Nothing is set in stone just yet, so check the events above or follow along on Facebook to see when it’ll be open.
Saturday 24 October 2026 — our biggest day of the year, and this year everyone is invited. Candy and trunks for the kids at noon, and the Haunted Lane after dark — come for one or both.
Trunk-or-Treat is free, and so is bringing a decorated trunk. The Haunted Lane is a suggested $5 donation per person.
Cars, trucks, SUVs, Jeeps — go cute, spooky, funny or completely over the top. Load up on candy, decorate the back and help us make a day of it for the kids. There’s no charge to bring a trunk, and ten trophies go out at 3:30 — five for the best decorated Jeeps and five for everything else.
Please be fully set up by 11:30am — for everyone’s safety, vehicles can’t move once foot traffic starts. Let Kimm know you’re bringing a trunk.
Cruet Wood Fired Pizza, Chris’s Concessions and the Hardscrabble Coffee Trailer are all joining us, with sweets from Sprinkles & Sparkles Bakery — the colossal chocolate chip cookies are worth the trip on their own.

When the sun drops behind the vineyard, the Lane comes alive. Climb aboard an open trailer and ride straight into the dark woods — eerie lights, animatronics, and live actors lurking where you least expect them. For older kids, adults, thrill seekers, date night, and that one friend who swears nothing scares them.
Stop inside first for the official cocktail of the Haunted Lane — Hummingbird Hills Black Currant wine, vodka, blackberry, lime and a touch of fizz. You might need it.

Tailgates come open and the field turns into a candy trail — dinosaurs, witches, skeletons and the occasional alien who has travelled a very long way for a handful of sweets. Costumes strongly encouraged, for grown-ups too.
